Jean-Michel Cliche

Join fight director Jean-Michel Cliche for a crash-course in stage combat! In this introductory workshop, learn the basic building blocks of fight choreography, including slaps, punches, grabs and falls. Then, string moves together to create your own unique fight sequence! An exciting blend of movement and storytelling, this workshop is for dancers looking for new ways to express themselves! Jean-Michel Cliche (he/him) is a theatre artist of Lebanese and French-settler descent living in Wolastokuk (Fredericton, NB). He has trained with Fight Director’s Canada and is New Brunswick’s most active Fight Director/Violence Designer. Select credits include Hamlet (Loyalist Theatre Company), Misery (Saint John Theatre Co), The Hobbit (Festival Antigonish) and O’Brien (Theatre New Brunswick). He is also the Associate Artistic Director of Solo Chicken Productions, a theatre company that creates physical theatre (among many other things!).
